Please note this programme is not Government funded and the Zero Fees Scheme does not apply.  

Cost is $369.00(incl GST) which will be invoiced to you on enrolment. Fees must be paid before you commence the programme.

This course will give students the knowledge and skills required to use portable power tools and to setup, use and maintain fixed machinery (bandsaws, surface planers, thicknessers, ripsaws, stroke sanders, boring machinery).

  • Use fixed machinery and describe maintenance requirements for fixed machinery in core construction
  • Operate and maintain a bandsaw in joinery work
  • Use portable power tools in joinery work

Entry for this programme is open, however applicants should be a minimum of 16 years of age.

Sturdy shoes (closed toe), pen, pencil and paper to take notes plus 1m folding ruler (will explain on first night if unsure) needed for classes.

 

For students to be considered to have satisfactorily completed this programme, they must have: Completed all required practical and theoretical course work and assignments. Attended for not less than 80% of the timetabled class hours and other scheduled learning activities.
